The cladding is now on and the end is in sight.
The wiring and plumbing has been installed and the 90% of the walls have been gibbed. The connection between the old roof and the new roof has been established so the building is connected and waterproofed.
Volunteer members of the Club have helped demolish the back of Bay 3. This area used to be the clubroom before the Panmure Boating and Yacht Club extension was added. Since the late 1990s this was a shower area for members.
Roading Change
The Panmure Wharf Domain has a roading change planned. This will remove the road from the front to the back of the building.
Looking Ahead
The building is on track for completion by the end of November. In the coming month the front of the existing building will be replaced and the interior finishing will continue.
Funding is very tight. The Club has applied to two Philanthropic Trusts for funding to take the building to functional completion. The funding raised will determine the level of completeness of the fit out. We are very grateful to the Club members who are providing labour to demolish internal walls in the main building and paint the building inside and out.
